PCYC
Fitness is an initiative of PCYC, one of Australia’s
most successful charities.
PCYC Fitness Centre’s will offer a unique range
of facilities, and helpful, friendly staff. Our centre’s
are perhaps best suited for those who have wanted to join
a gym but find the “up-market” facilities
out there either too pricey or a little uncomfortable.
Offering new equipment, free childcare, and free consultation
on your fitness program, PCYC Fitness is the ideal way
to get active.
PCYC Fitness has a brand new fitness centre in Goulburn,
catering for all types of people from 14 years of age.
With fitness qualified personnel to guide you, you’re
sure to reach your fitness goals, no matter what they
are. Our facilities include cardio machines, weight training,
group cycling, group fitness, circuit training, boxing
and child minding – and all of this is included as part
of your PCYC Fitness Membership!
PCYC is Australia's leading youth development organisation
with 59 Clubs & over 82,000 members. PCYC works to:
* Get young people active in life
* Work with young people to develop their skills, character
and leadership
* Prevent and reduce crime by and against young people
In recent years, PCYC has seen
- Growing membership – now over 82,000;
- Increase in activities at our Clubs - over 1.2m visits
a year
- More young people becoming more active;
- Growth in our BlueStar Leadership program;
- New clubs at Bateau Bay (Central Cost) & Bourke
(Far west)
At a time when there is concern over pressures on young
people, and issues such as self-respect, behavior in the
community, the influence of drugs & alcohol, violence
& youth-crime, PCYC is working in areas of disadvantage
with young people “on the edge”.
Since 2006 PCYC’s sports & arts have grown in
some key activities – soccer, league 7s, basketball,
boxing & martial arts, gymnastics, wrestling, Breakdance,
Rock Eisteddfod & dance parties.
The turnaround rate of PCYC Police means that almost 7
out of 10 young people don’t reoffend after they leave
our programs. PCYC Police are active around NSW at youth-crime
‘hot-spots’; at these locations, sports like ‘mobile’
basketball keep young people active & out of trouble.
The unit also runs a BBQ, with drinks & free food. |
